Scrap copper can usually be classified according to different classification standards.
1、According to the copper content, scrap copper can be divided into pure copper waste, brass waste and miscellaneous copper waste. Among them, the copper content of pure copper waste is above 99.9%; the copper content of brass waste is between 70%-90%, including elements such as copper and zinc; the copper content of miscellaneous copper waste is relatively low, between 50%-70%, and usually also contains other metal elements.
2、According to the shape and size, scrap copper can be divided into scrap copper wire, scrap copper rod, scrap copper pipe, scrap copper sheet, etc.
3、Depending on the source, scrap copper can be divided into industrial scrap copper, construction scrap copper, electronic scrap copper, automobile scrap copper, etc.
4、According to the different treatment methods, scrap copper can be divided into mechanical scrap copper, electrolytic scrap copper, chemical scrap copper, etc.
Classifying scrap copper according to different classification standards is conducive to recycling, reducing the cost of scrap copper treatment, and improving resource utilization efficiency.
